Tom Sietas cancels attempt after TV performance
Already 2 days ago there was the broadcasting of Tom’s record attempt and as I suspected the record wasn’t broken during the show. Not so much because Tom couldn’t make it, but because there was medic guy yelling that Tom had to get out. Tom was hooked to a pulse and oxygen saturation device and the levels dropped to such an extreme that the medic didn’t trust it anymore. All in all Tom did an excellent 8:34 and from what I saw it looked pretty easy and fighting phase was only started for 45 seconds. You can watch the clip below, thanks to Glenn Venghaus from Apnea Team Amsterdam.

Furthermore, as I announced in the same last post, AIDA announced Tom’s new record attempt for static that should take place in June. But now they let us know that the attempt is canceled. Would be nice if Tom would set another world record during the upcoming World Championships instead.
